      Highlands & Islands.
Highland skitteesh or schottische: (n) 2.  a Scottish
      country dance in 12 / 8, counted by dancers in 2 / 4. A popular dance later
      in the evening, since it requires little co-ordination.
schottische : (adj) German for "Scottish", the term is used by Classical
      composers such as Bach & Beethoven to describe a sonata movement with
      a Scottish lilt, generally medium to fast-paced; also common in French
      country dancing (danse folklorique).
